Non-Metal Spiral Heat Exchanger Technology
Building on many years of experience in developing and manufacturing spiral-wound membrane modules for diffusion dialysis, Spiraltec has developed an innovative non-metal spiral heat exchanger for applications requiring high chemical resistance, reliable heat transfer, and long-term operational stability.
Manufactured from polypropylene (PP) components, including PP film and PP spacers, our Spiral Heat Exchanger provides excellent resistance to acids, bases, and saline solutions while offering a lightweight and cost-effective alternative to conventional metallic heat exchangers.
The unique spiral wound design with counter-current flow channels enables efficient heat transfer, uniform flow distribution, and compact construction. This allows the heat exchanger to meet a wide range of requirements in terms of flow rates, thermal performance, and chemical compatibility.

WHY COUNTER-CURRENT FLOW?
Our Heat Exchanger uses a counter-current flow configuration, where the hot and cold fluids flow in opposite directions.
This arrangement maintains a high temperature difference between the two fluids along the entire heat exchanger length, resulting in more efficient heat transfer compared with parallel-flow designs.
Benefits of Counter-Current Flow:
-
Higher thermal efficiency
-
Improved heat recovery capability
-
Reduced energy consumption
-
More uniform outlet temperatures
-
Compact and high-performance design
-
Improved overall process efficiency
